February 3rd- Prek Registration Opens for the 2025-2026 school year.
3rd , 4th and 5th graders were able to visit the Mobile Ag Lab and conducted the experiments , "Snack Attack". Students tested several popular snack foods comparing results to controls of water and oil to see if they contained fat. Nutritional labels for these snack foods were examined to determine how much fat they contained. They were also shown "test tubes of fat", which illustrated the amount of fat present in many foods, including those served in fast food restaurants.

Reminder tonight is our Family Engagement Literacy Night Activity for Grades K-5 from 5:30-7:00. Tomorrow November 14 at 6:00 is our N.E.S.T. night program for Birth to Kindergarten age children.
Monday begins Game Changer Red Ribbon Week with Team Up Against Drugs so wear your favorite team gear. The book fair is this week, parents can visit and make purchases Thur Oct 31 from 4:00-5:00. The Fall Party is also on Oct 31st with the costume parade beginning at 2:15.

Mason Dixon's Fall Party will be on October 31st, it will begin with a costume parade at 2:15 followed by class parties. Families are invited to attend and enjoy the parade, we ask that only immediate family and younger siblings attend the class party.
I want to share with our Mason Dixon Community that Cassie Price was named as our new Assistant Principal and Ed Tech Leader by the Monongalia County BOE. Also, remember tomorrow night is our first Student Led Parent/Teacher Conference and our next one will be on Oct 10th

Starting tomorrow Thursday Sept 12th, Bus 321 will not be running on Upper Days Run Rd. until the paving project is complete. Parents are asked to drop off their children to the bus at the end of the road at 8:15 and pick up there at 4:10. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Mason Dixon Picture Day is on Tuesday starting at 9:00 a.m. The PTO Mum Fundraiser orders must be completed by 9:00 am on Friday Sept. 13th. Delivery is Wed. Sept 18th 4:00-5:30. iReady Benchmark testing continues too so encourage a good night's rest and charged Chromebooks.

Friday, August 30, 2024 is a 2 Hr. Early Dismissal for students. Buses and car riders will begin loading at 1:40pm on Friday, 8/30/24.

School begins for K-5 students at Mason Dixon Elementary Tuesday August 20th. Pre-K students will join us on Wednesday. Bus schedules are on the county website. Please be at the bus stop early, and be patient if the bus is running a little late. Car rider drop off begins at 8:40 and pickup begins at 3:40.
